A BRIEF HISTORY The Friends of Los Jilgueros Preserve Committee was formed in 2002 to assist the Fallbrook Land Conservancy in its dedication to preserve and enhance the rural lifestyle and natural beauty of Fallbrook. Los Jilgueros Preserve is a precious community asset that presents valuable opportunities for personal renewal in the forms of exercise, relaxation, nature-watching, and social interaction. We appreciate that Los Jilgueros Preserve provides a rare combination of resources for diverse interests and uses, while providing refuge for native plants, wildlife, and citizens of a growing community in need of open space.
