Upcoming volunteer working
parties for Los Jilgueros Preserve are scheduled for the 1st
Saturday, June and November at 8:00 a.m.
Here are some of the projects
we do:

Conduct clean-ups

Paint the Benches
-
We’re working on restoring the wooden walk-way
along the west side of the preserve
-
Help the Native Plant Committee with weeding
and mulching

Spread wood mulch in the parking lot to reduce
erosion

Invasive Plant removal
-
Help Mike Peters, the Preserve Manager, with
special projects
Wants and Needs:
Gardeners: The Native
Plant Committee meets Wednesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. To get
involved, talk to Shogo, Sofia, or Jody at the Preserve. We also
need help with maintaining the Firescape Garden at the north end of
the preserve. Call Connie Freese or Mike Peters at 728-0889 for
information.
